Ho trovato un bug di questo firmware, ma anche del precedente.
Ho inizializzato un nas e non riuscivo a ricollegare un servizio RTRR, ho reinizializzato con il firmware 5.1.9, stesso problema. Mi veniva fuori un errore con l'account del nas ricevente.
Praticamente aveva bisogno delle cartelle home e homes, che non vengono create se non si installa la app myqnapcloud.
Dopo aver installato myqnapcloud, nessun problema.
Non riuscivo neanche a cambiare lo sfondo del QTS, lo cambiava ma ad ogni login tornava quello di default.

Per opportuna informazione di tutti, per i due nas che ho io (TS-653D e TS-653A) l'ultimo firmware (5.2.4.3070) è stato ritirato.

La cosa è stata riportata anche sul forum in lingua inglese, evidenziando che (come al solito) non sono disponibili informazioni sulle ragioni di questa decisione.

L'unico post che aveva evidenziato dei problemi, nell'apposito thread dedicato al nuovo firmware, riguardava alcune difficoltà di riconoscimento delle unità esterne di espansione dello storage (TL-D800S, TR-004 e TR-002)

File Station 5 viene disabilitato ma non disinstallato.
Questo è il messaggio se si prova a lanciare la versione 5 dopo l'installazione della 6.

E' uscita la versione 5.2.5.3162 build 20250612, per tutti i modelli, ma per certi modelli non è ancora disponibile il download.
Per esempio i miei 451+ e 453A, sono in elenco, ma nelle pagine del sito non si può scaricare.
Per il 473A è disponibile.

Se provi a scaricare il firmware per il 473A vedi l'elenco dei modelli, e ci sono tutti.
La cosa strana è la data di pubblicazione, che è del 19.06.2025, appena 15 giorno dopo la versione precedente, però solo qualche giorno fa mi è stato notificato.

E' uscita la versione QTS 5.2.6.3195 build 20250715.

grazie @PiaNi, sul forum inglese non sono stati evidenziati problemi e ieri sera l'ho installata sul nas di backup.
Aspetto qualche giorno e poi lo installo sul principale

Sui miei 4 non sta creando problemi.

Ho aggiornato entrambi i NAS tra il 29 e il 31 luglio. Sul TVS nessun problema, nel frattempo ho dovuto sostituire il disco 1 sul TS-253B perchè il RAID1 era degradato a causa di settori irrecuperabili. Terminata la ricostruzione aggiorno alla 5.2.6 e sembra andare tutto bene. Ieri invece noto che la CPU del 253 è quasi sempre al 100% e raramente scende al 75-60%, la ventola di sistema non gira all'impazzata come mi aspetto che faccia a CPU sovraccarica e anche spegnendo l'unica macchina virtuale il carico non cambia. Ovviamente il sistema è rallentato e spesso le app si avviano mostrando pagine vuote. Prima dell'aggiornamento la CPU stava tra il 30 e il 50% con la macchina virtuale ubuntu server in funzione. Se forzo la ventola al massimo da control panel si nota la differenza di rumorosità.

Questo problema è stato segnalato anche nel forum in lingua inglese. In particolare due utenti con TS-453B, rispettivamente uno usa Virtualization Station e l'altro QVR. Un terzo utente stesso problema su un TVS-872XT.
