Maybe we didn't explain well to let you know
1. If a new volume/storage pool created on firmware 4.0.5 (or 4.1.1, 4.1.2)
this volume/storage pool is based on new firmware with LVM design
and it could be supported with SSD cache.
2. If your RAID was created on other models (SOHO models) or was created on
old firmware (3.8.x or previous), this RAID was based on legacy RAID architecture
(at that moment SMB firmware was no released yet). Sorry legacy RAID couldn't
co-work with SSD cache.
Actually SSD cache is starting running after SMB version released (4.0.5) , only created
storage pool could be supported with SSD Acceleration. Your machine is supporting
SSD caching too , but the requirement is that volume/storage pool is a new LVM storage
pool which could be supported with SSD acceleration.
As you told "We confirm that all disks were migrated from another machine TS-219 -> TS469L -> TS453Pro"
this RAID is a legacy RAID and caching couldn't support legacy RAID.(TS-219 is a SOHO model and it supports
legacy RAID management only). The only you could implement the new storage pool creating
after data backup and removed old volume. Wish you could understand, thanks.
