Scrittura su disco molto lenta

I've just bought a QNAS TS-469EL with 2 x Western Digital WD40EFRX RED HardDisk.
I've configured them in RAID1 and upgrade the kernel to 4.1.0 build 20140612.

The problem is that my disk write performance are disappointing too.
I'm doing this test to exclude network issues or others.

I access my QNAP with ssh

now I change directory to a folder with big size files

cd /share/Multimedia/<folder>

and I launch a command to create a simple local file copy

rsync <pathToYourBigFile.mp4> test.tmp --progress

the best speed I can reach is 12 MB/s.

Why so poor?

Scusa ma non ho capito bene. Fai una copia locale sul NAS? Perché, se è così, per forza va piano. Prova una copia da PC a NAS con rete Gbit.

Perché per forza va piano, se faccio lo stesso test su qualsiasi altro PC raggiungo i 30/40 MB/s

Perché impegni contemporaneamente in lettura e scrittura i dischi e la CPU che deve gestire, anche lei in lettura e scrittura, la struttura del RAID. I PC hanno in genere processori più potenti e non sono in RAID
