Porto la mia esperienza visto che mi è successo un caso simile anche con il mio 469l.
Ho contattato qnap sia via mail che via skype, via mail mi hanno risposto dopo 5gg compreso venerdì sabato e domenica, quindi 2 gg effettivi; via skype dopo un ora di attesa da quando sono operativi, direi che conviene la chat!
Com'è andata:
-mi hanno consigliato di fare questa procedura:
please try this to slove your TS-469 problem:
1. Power off the NAS. Remove the HDD
2. Power on the NAS without any disk attached
3. After a short beep and a long beep,Run QNAP Finder, it will find the NAS.
Note: Do not re-initialize when the QNAP Finder prompt a message, if you have some useful data in the disk
4. Plug all disks back to NAS in original order.
push in till the previous HDD led flashes constantly green.(Not Blinking)
5. Connect the NAS by SSH port 22, login as admin

(Mac user please open Terminal and type: ssh admin@your_NAS_IP)
6. Issue the commands to check disk space
# config_util 1 --> Start mirroring of the first partitions.
# storage_boot_init 1
# df
7. Please issue the following commands to copy back default configfile
# cp /etc/default_config/uLinux.conf /mnt/HDA_ROOT/.config/
(You can also replace the text 'uLinux.conf' with others )
# rm -r /etc/config
# ln -sf /mnt/HDA_ROOT/.config /etc/config
# setcfg -f /etc/config/uLinux.conf Misc configured TRUE
# reboot
8. The above procedure will reset the configuration back to default and then you need to reconfigure it.
But all the share should be available now.
Do NOT to re-initialize the HDD,which would wipe out the data.
-mi fermo al punto 6 causa errori, a quel punto si sono collegati da remoto al nas per una prima diagnosi, risultato: file system corrotto!
-mi fanno togliere i dischi, riavviare il nas, reinstallare il firmware 3.8.3
-dopo il riavvio del nas, ancora il raid non andava.
-alla fine hanno ripristinando il raid 5, ma nessuna traccia delle mie cartelle!
-solamente un'unica cartella di file persi!!!
-tentano un recupero dei file, dopo qualche ora vengono recuperati circa 9GB di dati vari sui 2-3TB di dati totali!!!
-Ringrazio per la disponibilità, saluto e chiudo la chat...
-...comincio realizzare pian piano la situazione...
-...comincia l'angoscia...
-...segue un misto di rabbia e delusione.
Aggiungo:
Martedì li ricontatto sempre via chat perchè non c'era modo di espandere il raid, passare da raid5 con 3 hdd a raid 5 con 4 hdd; si collegano al nas, in qualche modo sistemano da terminale, fanno partire la procedura di espansione, ringrazio e saluto.
Mercoledì termina la procedura, comincio a configurare il nas, creo utenti, cartelle, copio i file rimasti nel nas, comincio ad usarlo ma ci sono problemi, non tutti i file e le sottocartelle sono acessibili (eppure dal disco esterno erano tutti leggibili!), controllo il log, trovo Re-launch process [apache], provo a riavviare...
...ora vedo il nas solo con qfinder, non c'è modo di accedervi ne via http ne ftp!
Lo stesso problema che non si vedeva il raid dopo l'aggiornamento l'ho avuto sul 412, anche li inacessibile sia da http che da ftp, seguo le procedure consigliate, riavvio, riparte, rivedo il raid ma senza nessun dato...
io: -ok, disks are configured properly, disk 1 and 2 in raid 1 disks 3 and 4 single volume but all my data is gone!
qnap: -Uh......if you need data...you better check data recovery company now....

Considerazioni: nulla da dire sul servizio di assistenza, sufficientemente rapidi e gratuiti (quasi 3 ore e mezza di assitenza totali in 2 gg).
Il problema secondo me é il prodotto, troppo inaffidabile per quel che deve fare!
